Certified B Corp. And we're just getting started.

In 2025, Inprova became a certified B Corporation, meeting the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability. Our overall B Impact score of 89 is nearly double the median of 50.9 for ordinary businesses completing the assessment. Certification requires a minimum score of 80. We didn’t scrape over the line. But we also don’t see 89 as a ceiling. It’s our baseline, and we’re determined to improve.

What B Corp means

B Corps are businesses that have been independently verified to meet high standards across social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability. The certification is administered by B Lab, a global non-profit organisation, and the assessment process is rigorous. Every B Corp is evaluated using the B Impact Assessment, covering five areas: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. The results are published publicly. The assessment isn’t a self-declaration or a paid badge. It’s an independent evaluation against specific, evidence-based criteria.

There are over 9,000 certified B Corps worldwide, but Inprova is one of very few UK procurement organisations to hold the certification. For our customers and our supply chain, B Corp status means something specific: when we set standards for our supply chain, ask suppliers to deliver social value, or embed environmental requirements in our frameworks, we’ve already demonstrated that we hold ourselves to the same level of accountability. We don’t ask anyone to do something we’re not willing to do ourselves.

Our B Impact score

Inprova earned an overall B Impact score of 89. Here's how that breaks down across the five impact areas.

CEO perspective

  • “Everything we do is rooted in a single purpose: to positively impact people's lives. Our Environmental, Social and Governance approach ensures this isn't just a statement, but a measurable commitment, one that drives how we support our customers, empower our people, strengthen our communities, and protect our planet. What we've achieved so far is just the start. By continuing to collaborate across our networks, we will keep turning procurement into a powerful force for social value, environmental progress and responsible growth.”

Preparing for the new B Corp standards

The B Corp standards are evolving, and we're already preparing. The current five impact areas will expand to seven under the new framework. We've geared our improvement plans to these new areas and appointed multiple ambassadors across the business to lead each one. Together, our ambassadors understand the full scope of their impact area and are responsible for leading colleagues and inspiring action.

The seven impact areas under the new standards:

  • Purpose and Stakeholder Governance (previously Governance)
  • Fair Work (previously Workers)
  • Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (previously within Community)
  • Human Rights (previously within Workers and Community, now standalone)
  • Climate Action (previously within Environment)
  • Environmental Stewardship and Circularity (previously within Environment)
  • Government Affairs and Collective Action (previously addressed in limited questions)

Two areas of change are particularly significant for us. Government Affairs and Collective Action was only noted in a few questions previously, so we’re paying more attention to outward partnerships, networks, and panels. Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion was within Community and was already a high priority. We’ve achieved our 2025 goals but have set more ambitious targets for 2026.

What we're doing next

Certification in 2025 was the starting point. We've set specific improvement plans for each impact area and are already preparing for recertification in 2028 under more demanding standards. Here's what's coming.
